For the past fifteen years he has worked for the County providing direct legal counsel on election law and governance matters. He advises county elected officials and staff on election administration, compliance, and public records. He has assisted the county in several election related legal challenges, including election canvas board actions, successfully preventing a state effort to switch to a single source of election hardware, and a first in the state privately funded partial recount of county general election ballots. He earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University.
